Aftermath

February 4 2018

Our house actually burned down late on Monday morning, October 9. We know that because our alarm company, Bay Alarm, called us at 9:46 am to report that our smoke detectors had activated. After evacuating at 1:30 am Monday morning, we had tried to return to our property 3 times, starting at 4:00 am, but got turned away each time. The house to the right of us did not burn because a Sheriff’s deputy was in the area, and he put out the fire on the fence between our properties with a common garden hose. Here is an aerial view of the end of our cul-de-sac showing our house and the two to the left of us that were also destroyed. (Our house has the red lettering superimposed on it.)
