We are now just short of three months into the actual rebuild process. To date we have spent $420,000 on labor and materials and other associated costs (permits, engineering, architectural, etc.). We have had 28 trucks of concrete poured (252 yards) so far, and we expect to pour another 27 yards tomorrow, May 2. We had a large delivery of materials on Monday, including I-joists, sub-flooring and additional lumber for framing the second story of the house, but we haven’t received the invoice for these materials yet. Together with the labor costs as yet unbilled, we should be crossing the $500,000 mark very soon. We have confirmed bids for the electrical work and solar installation ($49,500 and $37,995, respectively) and we are still gathering bids for the rest. We are on track as far as the timeline goes. We expect to be somewhat over the projection for the total framing and concrete costs, and we can chalk that up to some difficulties with the site, and our own last-minute changes.
